The functions of Human Resource Management (HRM) and Industrial Relations Management (IRM) are unique in their own rights. Human resource management focuses on the ways of effectively managing the human resources in an organization. Industrial relations is about establishing good relations among stakeholders.
In the course of negotiations between representatives of the trade unions and the management, HRM concepts are often applied. However, the crux of the negotiations does not fall on HRM concepts per se; it is usually dependent on the application of the concepts in an IRM context of industrial relations. Reasonable and fair applications of the concepts and tools are imperative to building and maintaining good industrial relations between union representatives and management. The outcome of good relations can only be enhanced or achieved if all stakeholders have comparable knowledge and engage in meaningful negotiations for win-win situations.
While our courses are developed with union representatives and management in mind, these courses will certainly benefit HR practitioners in non-unionised companies as well.
Past participants of our courses include those from Takashimaya Singapore Ltd, Cathay Pacific Airways Ltd, The Swatch Group S.E.A (S) Pte Ltd, BHG (S) Pte Ltd, Isetan (S) Pte Ltd, Canon (S) Pte Ltd, Nikon (S) Pte Ltd, EM Services Pte Ltd, Rentokil Initial Pte Ltd, Automobile Association of Singapore, Neo group Ltd, Ngee Ann Polytechnic, Performance Motors Ltd, Courts (Singapore) Pte Ltd and many more.
All our courses focus on a delivery methodology and content that is easy to follow and comprehend. KAIZEN bridges the concepts with real-life IRM scenarios. Examples are provided and explained meticulously which allows participants to fully appreciate and be empowered to apply these concepts in an IRM context.
